Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently over long distances (OTR).
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Complete accurate daily logs (DVIR) and electronic logging device (ELD) entries.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all DOT and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of interstate commerce laws and DOT regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel long distances and be away from home for extended periods.
