Job Overview
As a Dedicated OTR Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across long distances. You will be part of a dedicated lane team, ensuring consistent delivery schedules and building relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Operate commercial trucks over long distances (OTR) adhering to all traffic laws and FMCSR regulations.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage and ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery times, route changes, and traffic conditions.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the cab and cargo area at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong knowledge of highway map reading and GPS navigation.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety standards.
