Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain cargo in secure and legal condition throughout the transit.
- Adhere to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and company policies.
- Log hours of service (HOS) accurately using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card (DOT Med).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Flexibility to travel long distances and work varying schedules.
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
