Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks in over-the-road (OTR) positions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ensure timely delivery of cargo to designated locations while maintaining a professional image.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper handling techniques.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience preferred.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel long distances as needed.
