Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on dedicated long-haul routes within the US.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment (forklift, pallet jack) and secure loads according to safety standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) and FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report mechanical issues.
- Document all delivery and pickup details accurately using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, cargo status, and any delays.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than one major moving violation in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to cargo handling.
- Strong time management, navigation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
