Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers safely and efficiently over long distances.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment (forklifts, straps, chains).
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs and ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Ensure cargo is secure and protected from weather or road hazards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of interstate commerce laws and regulations.
- Physically capable of sitting for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
