Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes with flexible scheduling options
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules while maintaining on-time performance
- Handle secure transportation of specialized freight with proper loading/unloading procedures
- Implement defensive driving techniques to achieve zero-accident record and safety bonuses
- Utilize advanced GPS routing systems for efficient navigation and fuel optimization
- Document delivery receipts and maintain detailed trip documentation for client satisfaction
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR and minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass company-mandated background/drug screening
- Proficiency in ELD systems and familiarity with FMCSA Hours of Service regulations
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and dispatch coordination
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights/weekends with guaranteed home time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment when required
