Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes throughout the Northeast Corridor
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) per FMCSA regulations
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient loading/unloading and route optimization
- Uphold Elite Transport's zero-tolerance policy for safety violations and compliance
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time performance
- Utilize telematics systems to monitor vehicle performance and route efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Flexibility for overnight travel and weekend shifts as required
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for cargo securement
