Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in adherence to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo integrity.
- Prepare and maintain accurate delivery and logbook documentation.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company policies regarding Hours of Service (HOS).
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and fuel calculations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
