As a School Bus Driver, you will be the first face our students see in the morning and the last they see at night. We provide comprehensive training, so no prior experience is necessary to apply. If you are a responsible, punctual, and patient individual, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Safely Transport Students: Drive the school bus along established routes and schedules, ensuring the safe pickup and drop-off of students.
- Passenger Safety: Maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus, enforcing safety rules and assisting students as needed.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is mechanically sound and clean.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with dispatch, school administrators, and parents regarding schedule changes or delays.
- Emergency Procedures: Demonstrate the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, following all safety protocols.
- Route Management: Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid state-issued driver’s license is required.
- Clean Driving Record: A satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Prior Experience (Preferred but not required): While experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate with a great attitude.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Patience & Reliability: A patient demeanor and a commitment to showing up on time for every shift.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift moderate amounts of luggage or equipment and stand for extended periods.
