Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 trucks for dedicated routes between mainland US and Hawaii ports
- Maintain flawless DOT compliance records and vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient loading/unloading at port facilities
- Implement strict safety protocols for hazardous materials (HAZMAT) handling when required
- Utilize telematics systems for real-time route optimization and performance tracking
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections ensuring FMCSA compliance
- Build client relationships through professional delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR and no preventable accidents in past 3 years
- HAZMAT certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to pass TSA background clearance for port access
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) systems
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Physical ability to handle multi-day solo driving assignments
- Residency in Hawaii required for consistent port access
