Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on dedicated routes between DC metro and key East Coast hubs
- Maintain meticulous logbooks and electronic logging compliance (ELD)
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and client-specific protocols
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for real-time route adjustments
- Complete all required documentation and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 3 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Hazmat endorsement required (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with refrigerated or flatbed trailers preferred
