Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages, documents, and time-sensitive shipments across Virginia Beach and surrounding areas
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions at delivery points
- Safely load/unload packages and verify shipment contents upon delivery
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in delivery or logistics
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach roadways and surrounding areas
- Basic proficiency with mobile delivery tracking applications
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation to and from depot location
- Pass background check and drug screening
