Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages, documents, and time-sensitive materials to designated locations using company vehicles
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to ensure on-time performance
- Adhere strictly to NYC traffic regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route adjustments and special deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class D Driver's License with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift packages up to 60 pounds regularly
- Deep knowledge of NYC boroughs and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and delivery tracking systems
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
