Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, documents, and medical supplies to businesses and residences throughout Detroit
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals and maximize fuel efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proper signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service with professional communication and problem-solving
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges and adjust routes as needed
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic technology
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional appearance
- Reliable transportation to and from depot location
- Pass background check and drug screening
