Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport packages and documents throughout Detroit metro area
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Load/unload packages with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain recipient signatures
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate delivery status and issues to dispatch in real-time
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Detroit neighborhoods and major roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route navigation apps
- Reliable attendance and punctuality essential
