Responsibilities
- Deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Perform thorough inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while navigating Boston's busy streets.
- Interact professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle any special delivery instructions.
- Use handheld scanners and mobile applications to log proof of delivery and update tracking statuses in real-time.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior, ensuring cargo is secure during transit.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or delivery incidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently using GPS technology.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Reliable smartphone with data access for managing deliveries.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
