Responsibilities
- Safely transport time-sensitive packages, medical specimens, and legal documents across Chicago metro area
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Provide exceptional customer service with professional communication at all drop points
- Handle specialized cargo including temperature-sensitive materials and high-value items
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions proactively
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Commercial Driver's License (Class C) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong knowledge of Chicago neighborhoods and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Background check and drug screening required
