Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with FMCSA regulations, company policies, and local traffic laws.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secure and protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and customer service standards to ensure high satisfaction rates.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid DOT physical card.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong commitment to safety, time management, and attention to detail.
- Basic English language proficiency for communication purposes.
