Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight to destinations in Washington DC and Illinois.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using forklifts or hand trucks.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and DOT logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and any delivery issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Card and DOT drug screening certification.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to perform loading/unloading duties and minor vehicle maintenance checks.
