Job Overview
We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work. As a Delivery Driver at Apex Transport, you will be the face of our company, ensuring our clients receive their orders safely and on time.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to various commercial and residential locations in the Charlotte metro area.
- Unload packages and freight, ensuring all items are handled with care and accounted for.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices and obtain customer signatures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving delivery issues professionally.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, check fuel levels, and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of daily deliveries and mileage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing paperwork.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the depot.
- Must be available for immediate start.
