Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight safely and on time to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling, ensuring secure placement.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict adherence to DOT hours of service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve issues and provide delivery updates.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
