Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery manifests.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or willingness to obtain via company training program).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check required) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery schedules.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
