Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on local and regional routes within California.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring weight distribution and securing freight properly.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with DOT hours of service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a zero-accident environment.
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites and terminals.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no DUIs or serious violations).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving a Class A commercial vehicle.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
