Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional deliveries throughout Oakland and the Bay Area
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch to ensure on-time delivery of goods while maintaining safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques and verify shipment documentation
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Build positive relationships with clients through professional communication
- Report vehicle maintenance issues and coordinate repairs efficiently
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Bay Area routes and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Must be at least 21 years old
