Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently throughout the Charlotte area and beyond.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring the protection of freight during transit.
- Document delivery receipts and maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, FMCSA regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a professional appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or eligibility for enrollment in our training program.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and long distances as required by the schedule.
- U.S. Citizenship or valid legal work authorization.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required.
