Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight on time and in full.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and DOT logs.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
- Interact professionally with customers and dispatch to ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and accidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
