Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A in the state of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR or Local driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning.
- Ability to lift heavy items and work in various weather conditions.
