Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers (Class A) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using proper safety equipment and techniques.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including Bills of Lading, delivery receipts, and DVIR (Daily Vehicle Inspection Report).
- Adhere strictly to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean driving record and ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of yourself, your cargo, and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to read and comprehend maps, traffic signs, and highway markings.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor.
