Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and cargo documentation.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securement and protection of goods.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Represent the company professionally while on and off the road.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and fleet improvement programs.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Basic math skills for cargo calculations and cash handling (if applicable).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
