Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and proper securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver's logs in compliance with hours of service rules.
- Navigate using GPS and map systems to ensure on-time delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Report any mechanical issues immediately to the maintenance department.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
