Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on local and regional routes within Long Beach and surrounding areas.
- Deliver freight to designated locations in a timely and professional manner, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Inspect vehicle condition prior to and after each shift, completing necessary DOT logs and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers to resolve any delivery issues and maintain high satisfaction ratings.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing and documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years).
- Current DOT Medical Card and acceptable background check.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in local or regional route driving.
- Strong understanding of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ability to read and comprehend maps, delivery orders, and traffic regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing manual labor duties.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a strong work ethic.
