Job Summary
As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the Seattle metro area and surrounding regions. You will represent the face of our company to our clients, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A diesel trucks to deliver freight to customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally with customers, taking orders and resolving delivery issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and paperwork (Bill of Lading).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to maintain a clean driving record.
- Keep the vehicle clean and perform basic maintenance checks as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant) and DOT physical.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Strong knowledge of the Seattle area and local roadways.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical duties associated with loading/unloading.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
