Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated customer locations within a local route.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely and courteous deliveries.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate any delays or issues to the dispatch team immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
