Responsibilities
- Operate Class A dump trucks to transport construction materials, aggregates, and debris safely to job sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT and company driving regulations.
- Load and unload materials using winches and skid steers, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate routes and schedules.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a professional appearance at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a zero-accident workplace.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving heavy dump trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local road conditions, traffic laws, and navigation in Lincoln, NE.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude for basic truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and on active construction sites.
