Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Load and secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and bars to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and schedule updates.
- Uphold a professional image while representing Elite Freight Solutions at all times.
- Participate in safety meetings and training programs to continuously improve driving skills.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, doubles/triples preferred but not required).
- Automobile Driving Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety procedures.
- Basic English reading and writing skills for log completion and communication.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
