Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo integrity and preventing damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety procedures to minimize risks and accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle and company gear.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
