Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo.
- Load and unload freight using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Uphold a clean driving record and adhere to all DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License required (or currently in the process of obtaining one).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid US driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
