Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition and log all maintenance accurately.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all freight is secured properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD/DOT) and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Adhere to company policies regarding drug testing, attendance, and professional conduct.
- Uphold a professional image at all times while representing San Diego Logistics Solutions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- 21 years of age or older to comply with federal regulations.
- Clean DMV record and a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission truck.
