Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles over 26,000 lbs GVWR
- Transport freight to and from San Diego County and Southern California
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Ensure cargo security and proper loading/unloading procedures
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication
- Utilize GPS navigation for efficient route planning
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of California and Arizona highway systems
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Flexibility to work nights/weekends as needed
- DOT-compliant experience with electronic logging devices
