Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold strict safety standards and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training if no prior trucking experience exists.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation and weight calculations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
