Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify any mechanical issues.
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport freight across the Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR, ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage and ensure proper securing of goods.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers by maintaining professional communication.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time windows to ensure timely arrival.
- Keep the truck cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and navigation in Southern California.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting and inspections.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo bags weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
