Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during handling.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and driver's daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of US DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) rules, and cargo securement procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on the road.
