Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and ensure all logs are current and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is balanced and cargo is protected from damage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience in commercial truck driving (OTR or Local).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
