The Role
As a Truck Driver at Apex Freight, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight across the region. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and maintaining a perfect safety record.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers over various road conditions.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securement and documentation.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and comply with all FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Uphold a professional image and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
