Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks and trailers) in accordance with FMCSA and company safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing goods.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and team members.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to management.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risks and ensure the safety of the public and crew.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug testing compliance.
- Ability to pass a background check and substance screening.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex routes.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
