Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and cargo documentation.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Uphold a professional image at all times, representing Apex Logistics with excellence.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and logbook compliance.
- US Citizenship or valid Green Card is required.
