Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and document findings accurately.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) regarding driving hours, miles traveled, and delivery stops.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and update status.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and cargo securement.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging devices (ELD).
