Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial vehicles in a safe, legal, and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Logistics: Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring on-time arrivals while maintaining accurate delivery documentation.
- Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Customer Service: Deliver freight with a focus on customer satisfaction, handling loading and unloading procedures professionally.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and comply with FMCSA regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS).
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of Texas.
- Clean Record: A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a DOT physical examination, and meet the physical demands of the job.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol screening.
