Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner to meet delivery schedules.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading, ensuring proper securement and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delivery issues.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure the truck remains in peak operating condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and navigation systems.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and varying weather conditions.
